We have a superb Lloyd Rees painting that is new to stock. ‘The Red Field’ has been in a private family collection for more than 50 years. We have estimated that Lloyd Rees painted this work circa 1947. Collectors familar with the Rees painting ‘The Road to Berry’ which is in the collection of the AGNSW may find some similarity between that work and ‘The Red Field’ – in particular the use of curvilinear lines to segment space in the landscape. Please call or e-mail us if you have any questions about this painting or if you would like to see an image of the work in its frame.
